In today's digital age, access to technology is crucial for success and growth. However, many non-profit and social sector organisations find themselves at a disadvantage due to limited funds and access to the necessary technology. This digital divide can hinder their ability to operate and serve their communities effectively, ultimately limiting their overall social impact.
If you’re new here, TechForGood is an IT reseller that is B Corp and Social Enterprise certified, and female-led. We offer competitively priced IT hardware and software, and commit 2% of revenue from every sale to a social impact initiative, our Catalysing Connections Programme. We are on a mission to bridge the digital divide. Our aim? To provide one million digital connections by 2030, providing rural and disadvantaged communities and individuals with phones, 5G, and internet connections to provide the connectivity they need to succeed.
Welcome to Country is a social enterprise and non-profit dedicated to promoting and preserving Indigenous culture in Australia. They were struggling with outdated and insufficient technology, which was limiting their efficiency and impact. Upgrading their fleet themselves would have meant allocating a significant portion of their limited funds to upgrading their tech infrastructure, diverting crucial resources away from their core mission.
So TechForGood and Synertec teamed up to help. Synertec donated several laptops they no longer needed, providing Welcome to Country with the essential technology they needed to continue their important work without the burden of technological limitations. This not only enhanced their operational efficiency but also allowed them to extend their outreach efforts and make a greater impact in the communities they serve.
"Thank you, Synertec for your generous donation of laptops to Welcome to Country, and to TechForGood for introducing us and making it happen. Your support empowers our mission to connect people with First Nations culture and help create lasting impacts in communities. These laptops will make a real difference in enhancing our work and extending our reach. We’re deeply grateful for your commitment to positive change." - Desmond Campbell, CEO at Welcome to Country.

Synertec have embraced the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) framework to align their business practices with the pressing issues and challenges facing the world today. They are dedicated to creating social impact through social procurement, and as such, have been a customer of TechForGood’s since 2023.
“We chose to partner with Welcome to Country because we understand the operational challenges for not-for-profits with many lacking the resources and technology to function efficiently. By donating these pre-loved laptops, we hope to enable the team at Welcome to Country to support the growth of wealth and success more effectively within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. We are proud to play a role in this important work with both Welcome to Country and TechforGood and remain committed to supporting organisations making a difference in communities.” - Diane Barabash, Administration & Systems Coordinator at Synertec.
