Recover-E week

CHECK THE DRAWER.

A simple way to retire old technology securely and responsibly.

Recover-E Week is a workplace activation that makes it easy to clear out old tech from home or work, knowing it will be securely wiped and responsibly recycled or reused.

What is Recover-E Week?

Recover-E Week is a structured onsite
e-waste collection program delivered by TechForGood.

For a limited time, a secure collection cage is placed at participating workplaces —
making it easy to retire unwanted technology responsibly and keep e-waste out of landfill.

If it has been sitting in a drawer because recycling feels unclear or inconvenient, this is the solution.

How it works

Small items go in a collection bag. Larger items can be labelled.

Drop it

Place everything in the secure collection cage.

That’s it.

What happens to my data?

If your device stores data, it is treated as sensitive.

Recover-E ensures secure data sanitisation or physical destruction through verified processes and documented chain of custody.

You do not need to wipe your device before bringing it in, although signing out of accounts is recommended where possible.

Security is built into the process.

Include the charger

If your device still works, include the charger or power supply.

Chargers help extend device life.

Without a charger, a working device may not be reusable — even if it powers on.
