Our Purpose

Approved: 14 September 2026. Next review due: September 2027.

TechForGood exists to create meaningful human connections and pathways into dignified, secure work — while ensuring technology is retired with the highest standards of social and environmental care.

This purpose sits at the centre of everything we do. It shapes our strategy, our operations, how we allocate resources, and every decision our directors make, as set out in our Company Constitution.

How we deliver on this purpose

We pursue our purpose through a hybrid social enterprise model:

  • Work-Integrated Social Enterprise — paid employment, training and wraparound support for Priority Jobseekers who face barriers to secure work, delivered through our Employment Pathways program.
  • Profit-for-Purpose — 100% of the net profit generated by Recover-E, our secure technology recovery and end-of-life asset management service, is directed to Catalysing Connections and other activities that directly advance our purpose.

This is Switch. Recycle. Impact. — customers switch their ICT procurement to us, we take care of recycling the outgoing fleet being replaced, and the residual value creates social impact. In practice, this looks like the following, every year:

Climate Impact

  • Recover-E — physically reducing emissions through the secure, ethical recovery, reuse, resale and recycling of technology, via our ISO 27001, 14001, 9001 and 45001-aligned, R2v3-certified service — supporting circular-economy outcomes including landfill diversion and reduced embodied emissions.
  • Carbon Offsets — catching the rest: a share of eligible revenue funds the purchase and retirement of independently verified carbon credits, calibrated annually to the estimated cradle-to-gate emissions embodied in the technology we sell.
  • Carbon Neutral certification — a separate, independently certified program covering our own operations, distinct from Carbon Offsets above. Both are recorded through NetNada but reported separately.

Responsible Procurement

  • Connected Procurement Framework — helping our customers achieve credible social procurement, circularity and sustainability outcomes.

Social Impact

  • Catalysing Connections — providing disadvantaged communities and individuals with technology and connectivity that improve digital access, inclusion and quality of life.
  • Employment Pathways — paid employment, training and career pathways for Priority Jobseekers through our Work-Integrated Social Enterprise model.

We hold ourselves accountable through independent certification (B Corp, Social Traders Social Enterprise Certification, Carbon Neutral certification) and annual public impact reporting.

How we measure progress against this purpose

Our purpose is not a statement of intent alone — it is tracked against public targets, reviewed by our Leadership Team, and reported in full in our annual Impact Report, including progress toward our long-term Human Connections goal.
