Testing conducted by Apple in July 2026 using preproduction Mac mini systems with Apple M5 Pro, 18-core CPU, 20-core GPU, 64GB of unified memory and 8TB SSD, and production Mac mini systems with Apple M4 Pro, 14-core CPU, 20-core GPU, 64GB of unified memory and 8TB SSD. Time to first token measured with an 8K-token prompt using a 14-billion parameter model with 4-bit quantisation, and LM Studio 0.4.18+1. Mac mini systems tested with an attached 5K display. Performance tests are conducted using specific computer systems and reflect the approximate performance of Mac mini.
